Why sponsor?
To enable underprivileged children to live their childhood lives today through education and to become responsible adults tomorrow. With 42% literacy among those aged 15 and over, it is essential to teach them the basics from an early age.
To support poor families. 35% of the Beninese population lives on less than one euro a day, school fees or childcare represent a very important part of the family budget and many families cannot therefore afford them.
To provide medical care. The infant mortality rate * still stands today at 55%!
Families need your support.
What are the objectives of the program?
The program aims to provide free access to education for underprivileged children, initiation into French, ensure the awakening of children from an early age, offer follow-up and medical support to each child, avoid malnutrition by implementation of a food program. The objective is also to offer parents, and especially mothers, the opportunity to work without worrying about the care of their children.
What will the money be used for?
All of your sponsorship will be used for the daycare program. It accommodates 28 children aged 1 to 6 free of charge. Sponsorship covers: daycare costs, the purchase of clothes or uniforms, shoes, school materials, early learning equipment and educational games, medical costs if necessary, full meals at noon and afternoon snacks, a contribution to the cook and the mistresses. Your sponsorship will also be used for special occasions such as children's birthdays, special holidays or to meet urgent needs.
What does sponsorship allow you?
It allows you to associate faces with your donation, to establish a privileged relationship with an entire daycare center by exchanging letters, drawings, photos, as well as through videos dealing with the evolution, schooling and children's health.
